The barn at Ridgeview Valley

The History of Ridgeview Valley

In 1911, the Harvey family established a dairy farm on a picturesque and rich land that was lush with tall and thriving trees. Although beautiful, many of the trees had to be removed to accommodate the 200 head of cattle the Harvey family brought with them to the farm. As the farm flourished, it gained a reputation for the tasty maple syrup produced from the maple trees on the land and the first-rate horse feed that the fertile land produced. Today the site of that farm is known as Ridgeview Valley, and the Harvey family who developed it is remembered by the preservation of the family home which will eventually become the residence of the manager of the Home Owners Association.
